Lovely reflection of Asian flavours. The Cinnamon, Fennel and Aniseed provide strong notes to the blend with the Turmeric softening flavour. Very much worth trying with your favourite recipe.

Asian 8 Spice Recipe Suggestion


  • 1- 1 1/2K Chicken thighs, boned

  • Marinade

  • 1 x Tablespoon Fish Sauce

  • 3 x Tablespoons Macadamia Oil

  • 3 x Tablespoons Rice Wine vinegar

  • 1/2 x Teaspoon Sesame Oil

  • 1 x Teaspoon Brown Sugar

  • 2 x Crushed garlic

  • 6 x Heaped teaspoons Spice Road Spices 8 Spice Blend

  • Asian greens as you select. Bok choy works well

Important: Note : Sea salt and Black Pepper has already been included in the Asian 8 Spice blend

Comments: The Spice Roads Asian 8 Spice provides full flavour and great scope for experiment - we found really good with pork mince !

This recipe does not include chilli but may be added to taste if required


Mix the marinade and toss evenly to thoroughly coat the chicken then cover and refrigerate for at least two hours. Overnight even better.

Heat oven to 180 degrees and bake for 1 - 1.5 hours (depending on your oven).

Check chicken is cooked through but watching the chicken is not overcooked

Serve with your favourite Asian greens and Jasmine rice or similar.
